Turkey Ranks Fourth Globally for iGaming Search Demand

Turkey ranks fourth worldwide for iGaming search demand in Blask’s global market ranking, behind Brazil, the Philippines and South Africa. Its Blask Index of 72.27 million also places the country ahead of Vietnam and the United Kingdom.

The composition of that demand is particularly notable. Four of the five brands attracting the largest shares of iGaming search interest in Turkey operate outside the country’s authorised betting system, with Nesine the only locally authorised name in the top five.

Turkey Ranks Fourth Worldwide

According to the Blask report, Turkey ranks fourth worldwide.

Brazil leads Blask’s ranking of 135 countries with an Index of 191.4 million, followed by the Philippines at 150.6 million and South Africa at 79.86 million. Turkey follows in fourth place at 72.27 million.

The top six markets are:

  • Brazil: 191.4M
  • Philippines: 150.6M
  • South Africa: 79.86M
  • Turkey: 72.27M
  • Vietnam: 52.16M
  • United Kingdom: 46.68M

The 72.27 million figure represents Blask’s index value for search interest around iGaming brands in Turkey. The metric is used to compare the overall strength of brand-focused demand across countries and to track changes in that demand over time.

How the Blask Index Works

Blask builds its Index from Google Keyword Planner and Google Trends data linked to betting and casino brands. Different spellings and variations of the same operator are grouped together, while searches are processed according to whether they indicate genuine interest in finding or using a brand.

Searches involving logins, betting, bonuses and offers can contribute to the signal. Blask gives examples such as “bet365 betting”, “paddy power login” and “sky bet offer”, while searches driven by complaints, disputes or negative news are treated separately. The processed data is then used to compare iGaming demand across brands and markets.

Four of Turkey’s Top Five Are Unlicensed

Blask’s Turkey data shows a strong concentration of search interest around operators that are not authorised to provide betting services in the country.

The five leading brands and their shares are:

  • Merit King: 11.84%
  • GrandPashaBet: 9.68%
  • KingRoyal: 7.56%
  • Nesine: 5.54%
  • BelugaBahis: 4.39%

Together, the five brands account for 39.01% of measured iGaming search demand in Turkey. Nesine is the only locally authorised betting platform among them, while the other four operate outside Turkey’s regulated betting framework.

The top three brands alone account for almost 29% of the measured demand. Their position highlights the scale of offshore gambling interest within Turkey and its influence on the country’s overall Blask ranking.

Turkey’s Search Demand Rose 24.2% on 3–9 August

Turkey also recorded the strongest weekly increase in Blask’s 3–9 August 2026 report. Search-based iGaming demand rose 24.2% from the previous week, ahead of Guinea at 19.3%, France at 18.2%, Angola at 17.9% and the Republic of the Congo at 16.6%.

The increase coincided with the start of the 2026–27 Trendyol 1. Lig, Turkey’s second-tier professional football competition. Matches began on 7 August, giving Blask’s reporting window three days of domestic league action before the opening round concluded on 10 August.

Blask linked the increase in Turkey to the return of the domestic football calendar. The 24.2% figure reflects the week-on-week change in search demand, while the 72.27 million Blask Index represents Turkey’s broader position against other countries.
